Games we like to play.

You know the saying "Only Boring People Get Bored"? It's rubbish, pretty interesting and exciting people can get bored too, especially on long car journeys through unchanging scenery so I thought I'd share with you some of the games we've been playing to pass the time, just in case you are ever stuck for things to do with one car sick passenger and no Wi-Fi. Many of them you will know, we aren't reinventing the wheel, just giving you a little inspiration in case you need

(This blog will get added to as we come up with/find out some more games to play)

Car Games
I-Spy, don't underestimate how fun this game can be. We allowed two clues, one being "Is it inside or out?" and another of your choosing. It's quite suprising how many words begin with F on a long expressway in India.

Ghost, this game is all about knowing your extra longs words and spellings so be quite funny if you're not good at both. Person 1 starts with a letter, such as "B" and then Person 2 says another letter, say "A" and so on with the aim of spelling out a word. The loser is the person who says the last letter and we don't allow "S" to make plural or "ed". This game led us to come up with the pointy cat newsreader "Rhomboidgony"

Questions, this is another favourite and is simply to ask each other questions with a little bit of a random edge like:

Who would you have as your famous celebrity aunt and uncle?
If you could be in a TV show, what would it be?
What would your superhero power be?

Would you rather, this has many names and is played world over and is simply you ask the other person would they rather A or B or Death and they have to pick one. For example, would you rather each your toes or all of someone else's hair?

Paper Games
Square. This is an old favourite of ours and I've even got an app so we can be lazy and not have to draw it out all of the time. Draw out a line of 10 evenly spaced dots, followed by another nine of these below it. You should now have a square of dots. Each player takes their turns drawing one line between two dots on each go, when a player completes a square or the forth line to a box they win that square. The winner is the person with the most square, simples.

We would love to hear your suggestions for games we can play when bored as there is only so many times you can use "T for Tarmac" and if we like them I'll include them above :)
